The first month and a half after we brought Brayden home was uhh.... challenging (to say the least) with Brooke. I don't think I will ever forget that when we pulled in the driveway, Brooke said, " this is NOT Brayden's house, this is MY house." Oh dear. Never was such a foreshadowing statement made... The funny thing was, once we hit about 6 weeks and all the visitors went home, she woke up one morning and DID want to see, talk to, hold, love, and kiss Brayden. All things that she would take no part in up to that point. Now, she loves him dearly and is so so sweet with him. She loves to come up to him and say, "Brayden, it's big sister!" I have found her numerous times putting his pacifier in, singing to him and she's a fabulous helper to me. Three and a half years between kids? PERFECT.
Despite all of this, she can be a bit mischievous. Most girls are teased by their brother. I think we have a boy who will be teased by his sister.....
Good thing Mom has a fast enough reflex to put the camera down to stop one of her shenanigans!
And it's a good thing she loves him SO much....
