Brooke would not eat ANYTHING I tried to feed her at dinner tonight. Where did this come from? She used to eat whatever we put in front of her. So when Brent and I were finished I had a little scrap leftover from bread on my plate. I threw it on her tray (in a teasing manner), and Brent said, "oh, that's great, give her the scraps like she's a little doggy." (Thanks, for the sarcasm, honey.) Immediately after, Brooke said, "ruff, ruff, ruff," and put the scrap in her mouth. No joke, she really did! Guess she doubles as the baby and family pet.

This Week
Brooke met Santa at the ward party. We hope she still likes him this much next year when she meets him again and is more aware of who he is. Also, this post has a boring title because this week was... well, boring. We had all these plans filling up every day of our week and then it happened early Monday morning. Brent got sick, and I followed a couple of hours later. I was baffled that we were both that sick to our stomachs. Then, I got an email from our Relief Society president saying she had received numerous reports of food poisoning like symptoms from people in the ward and to throw away leftovers from the ward party if you took them home. Well, at least at that point I knew why we were sick. Come to find out, a good majority of the ward got sick and nobody still knows if it was food poisoning or just a very contagious virus. Anyways, enrichment, visiting teaching, and a girl's party were cancelled, and I was sad! Talk about a crappy week! We leave for Christmas in St. George on thursday and until then, there's still lots to do since since we lost quite a bit of time being so so sick. So when I got on the computer to blog tonight, I realized there isn't a ton to blog about! Hence the post that is below this one, where after Brent read it he said, "Not your best post."Let's hope the next one is much more exciting to read. :)

Funny faces.. like mother, like daughter?
I have realized since Brooke was born: I just can't get enough pictures of her! And she is always so darn cute when she sleeps. Hope you enjoy these..
Here is Brent and Brooke enjoying their nightly activity: singing together. She absolutely loves it and it always calms her so fast. Brent is such a good Daddy.
Here are the already many faces of Brooke. It looks like she may end up inheriting her mother's expressiveness! (Krista: this first one really reminds me of Ethan!)

Pregnant forever?

Did anyone else that might be reading this and has children feel like they would maybe be pregnant forever? I am afraid I have reached that point. I am due one week from today and may just need an attitude adjustment, but I feel like this baby might not ever come (ok deep down inside I know she really will)! So, in an effort to keep myself informed, positive and busy in these final days, the purpose of this posting is to solicit any comments/suggestions for 1)things I can do to take my mind off of it and keep me busy, and 2)advice on coping with the inevitable feeling of angst that surrounds an upcoming labor and delivery. Thanks for your words of wisdom, and lets just hope the next posting is announcing her glorious birth!

Fancy Feet!
So when I asked Brent if he wanted to go and get a pedicure with me this weekend, there wasn't even a question in his mind! As most know of him, he is very weary of anything that could detract from his masculinity, so I was quite shocked. He didn't even care that he was the only man amongst many other women in the spa. Nonetheless, we had a great time sitting in the chairs next to each other enjoying some real pampering. Although, when I asked him what his favorite part was, he said it was the massage chair. Ha! Maybe next time we'll just go get a massage.
